News from C + P

Did you know?! These structures are by C + P!

100 years – 100 possibilities: Strong construction solutions, professionally executed. Since 1925.

For us, 2025 was all about celebrating 100 years of CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER. Our company in the context of its tradition and history – with long and short anecdotes, with retrospectives on significant milestones and memorable events. Today, we would like to conclude this year with a special thematic focus.

And what would be more fitting – as a grand finale, so to speak – than a close look at what we achieve every day with enthusiasm, drive and in partnership: our buildings.

Here is a small selection of our most impressive, unique, and maybe also surprising projects. Because sometimes you encounter C + P in places where you might not expect it at first.

Rescue station, Langeoog

Small but beautiful – this applies to both the North Sea Island Langeoog and our building. Anyone vacationing there might have already seen it: the DRK rescue station.

It was one of our turnkey construction projects, offering space for a vehicle hall, staff accommodation and expansion reserves despite its compact size.

Mountain path for the „Green Bunker“, Hamburg

The St. Pauli bunker is both a historical memorial and a tourist attraction. As part of the expansion of the bunker, a rooftop garden was created at a height of 58 meters, which can be reached by a steel mountain path.

Those who want to enjoy the view over Hamburg or learn more about the history of the bunker can climb up this mountain path on a steel and staircase structure manufactured by C + P.

Employee Parking Garage, Cologne

350 parking spaces within four months? No problem for our parking garage builders, as this project in Cologne proves.

210 of our prefabricated Preflex® panel elements were used, which were installed in split-level construction. With technology for electric mobility, a green roof, and a green façade the parking garage is well equipped for the future.

Haffkrug Pier, Scharbeutz

Summer, sun, steel. The new pier is the tourist attraction of the Baltic seaside resort of Haffkrug in Scharbeutz.

It measures 230 meters in length and weighs 420 tons of steel. These were manufactured in our own facility and assembled on site as the substructure of the wooden walkway.

New „Destination Porsche“, Leipzig

With their distinctive architecture, Porsche dealerships are always an eye-catcher. The new Porsche Center in Leipzig is no exception.

It was recently opened and realized as a turnkey project by C + P. Although we have built several car dealerships before, this was the first that had to meet the DGNB Gold Standard.

Roman Museum, Xanten

Modern construction meets tradition: with this building, we are not only looking back on 100 years of history, but on almost 2,000!

A Roman Museum was built on the remains of a historic bath in Xanten, with a structure that resembles the original Roman building. The main supporting structure of the museum hall was realized using 1,250 tons of C + P steel.

Footbridge over the A7 motorway, Schondra

A bridge that impresses not only with its sturdy steel construction (120 tons) but also its special name: Pelzkappe ('fur cap').

Designed as a single-span frame, transported to the construction site in two halfs, anf fully assembled overnight, the “Pelzkappe” is now in use as a forestry overpass over the A7 motorway near Schondra.

Column-free ballroom ceiling made of Preflex® girders, Munich

At the Munich Marriott Hotel City West, our reliable Preflex® bridge girders once again excelled in performance – this time in building construction!

In this case, the double composite girders were used as support for the construction of a column-free ballroom ceiling. With a span of almost 25 meters, the eight girders (weighing up to 74 tons each!) support the seven-story hotel above them without any problems.

100 years of CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER: The story continues.

All these projects are only a small selection of what C +P stands for since 1925: high performance, quality and the joy of building.

After an anniversary year filled with intense reflections on our journey so far, our focus from 2026 onwards will once again be firmly on the future – on new ideas and new challenges.

We look forward to it.
