Footbridge over the A7 motorway
According to the order, we created a haunched single-span frame with a curved lower edge for the “Pelzkappe” forest overpass on the A7 motorway. The entire steel superstructure is 55.7 meters long and weighs 120 tons.
We transported the steel structure in two shots to the construction site in Schondra, Bavaria, 380 kilometers away. There, the two halves were then welded together at the top and coated with a topcoat. After only eight hours of nightly work, the superstructure was already in place.
