Service and Administration Building

With the construction of the new service building at the site in Wolfgruben, CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER has once again realized a turnkey construction for Roth Industries.

In addition to some sections of corporate management, the building also houses the Project Management, Tool Management, Design and Development departments and the Sales Office. An important specification at the planning stage was that all rooms should be flooded with daylight and the overall design of the building should allow excellent light transmittance. The offices are separated by glass dividers and furthermore allow colleagues to easily maintain contact with one another.

The building is equipped with the latest energy-saving technology – with building services engineering from the developer's own product range. Equipment includes everything from the air-to-water heat pump, energy storage system, surface heating and cooling systems right through to pipe installations for the drinking water supply. Showcase displays inform visitors about the technology used.

This building provides excellent evidence that CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER adapts to the individual requirements of the developer – continuously during the whole of the construction process. In this case, construction was stopped for two months in order to allow a ceiling with integrated cooling system to be installed. This was a decision taken at relatively short notice, so everything had to be re-planned and designed during the process. The building was also expanded once again from the original 600 to some 870 square meters.
