New company headquarters for Happel Engineers

A new company headquarters covering almost 25,000 square meters was built under the management of C + P Schlüsselfertiges Bauen in Gladenbach, Hesse.

After thorough preliminary planning, the project started with on-site earthworks on a grand scale: 400,000 cubic meters of earth had to be filled in to level the area for construction.

The motor vehicle test facility was deliberately planned generously, because in addition to cars, the workshop mainly examines motor homes, caravans, commercial vehicles and buses. A total of three test lanes have been built, including a 15-meter pit for trucks.

The complex also includes the three-story office building. It is extensively glazed on the outside, and inside there is an airy reception area, space for 45 employees in open-plan offices, and a seminar and training room for up to 40 participants. Balconies and a terrace provide a pleasant working atmosphere. Sister company C + P Möbelsysteme from Breidenbach was brought on board for the furnishings and interior design.

Equipped with a heat pump, photovoltaic system, heat and sound insulating glass and appropriate insulation, all the prerequisites are in place for the building to be managed in an energy-efficient manner.
