Plant steel for pulp press
To ensure that sugar and powdered sugar ultimately find their way into households, we supplied structural steelwork for plants for the new pulp press station at the Nordzucker plant in Nordstemmen, Lower Saxony. We manufactured a total of 277 tons of steel to a precise fit in our own production facilities and assembled it on site.
The project, which fell entirely within the logistically challenging period of the Corona pandemic, was divided into various sections. The largest part was the new steel enclosure of the pulp press station, and the connection to cable route bridges was also supplied. Long walkways were also constructed to connect the old plant and existing buildings to the new structure, and a new platform was built at the pulp feed hopper in the existing building.
The railings for the new walkways alone amounted to 750 meters, and 850 square meters of gratings ensure good footing on the new plant.
