Turnkey new construction for an industrial mill
To enable grain to be processed into malt, the Leipzig C + P team completed a turnkey project to construct a new steeping vessel and a drum malting plant for an industrial mill.
The new construction included a 14.5-meter-high supporting structure made of precast reinforced concrete elements, the steel structural work, as well as the roof and facade.
The steel structure is particularly striking, with a total of 90 tons of steel used in its construction. It consists of two main components: first, a silo base that securely supports the steeping vessel, and second, the steel structure levels arranged at a height of seven meters. These levels form the heart of the project, as they serve as stable mounting surfaces for the malting drums.
