Steel truss bridge for pedestrian access
Located at the DHL plant site in Cologne, this pedestrian bridge complements the previously completed Preflex® Parking Garage as another C + P construction project. Spanning 60 meters in length and 2.5 meters in width, the bridge provides a direct connection from the office building to the gatehouse, crossing above the truck entrance.
The components for the truss bridge were manufactured at our Breidenbach plant and subsequently assembled on site. For the tandem lift and rotation maneuver that followed, two cranes with lifting capacities of 300 and 450 tonnes, respectively, were used.
As a result, a new and safe crossing for employees at the DHL plant site was completed in just three months.
