A Construction Site on the Edge: A Project Example
For a manufacturer and processor of lime products, we built a compact production and storage complex in an extremely confined space – directly at the edge of a quarry and while operations continued. The challenges were significant. In particular, constructing on an almost fully utilized footprint near the quarry’s drop-off required meticulous logistics. To make the project possible, a heavy-duty bypass road supported by steel columns was installed.
One of the resulting structures was a silo tower: a 20‑meter‑tall process building featuring four intermediate levels and a concrete slab at 20 meters, complete with exterior staircases, light strips, doors, and ventilation openings. Integrated into the concrete slab were ten approximately 20‑meter‑tall silos supplied by the client.
