In August 2017, Tobias Rottenfusser begins his apprenticeship as a Technical Systems Planner at C + P Engineering GmbH & Co. KG and goes at full throttle from the start. He can skip the first year of his vocational training because he had already studied civil engineering for a few semesters before starting his vocational training.
However, since the practical relevance and the specific application are missing there, the decision for the vocational training is the next logical step.
From August 2017, this means: practical training at the company headquarters in Angelburg and every two weeks two days of theoretical training in the vocational school in Bebra. Here, all trainees as Technical Systems Planner are taught together in one Hessian state class.
During the practical part of his training he is supervised by Mirjam Fiedler. She has many years of experience in her job and as an instructor. Young people continuously complete their training as a Technical Systems Planner in the C + P Engineering team – and doing this with great success. Tobias Rottenfusser is following in great footsteps with his excellent exam results: A former C + P trainee was already the best German exam participant in this area in 2007 and the best Hessian students from 2011 and 2017 were also trained at C + P Engineering.
In May 2019, Tobias' time has come: after only two years of training (the training normally takes 3.5 years) his final exams begin. He completes the theoretical exam, then the practical exam and concludes his vocational training with the exam interview in June – with top results.
“For us as a company, training young people is a matter of course. We attach great importance to providing the specialists of tomorrow with the best possible support and funding. We want to motivate and inspire for the respective profession,” explains Ulrike Bonacker, HR Manager at CHRISTMANN + PFEIFER. "We are proud to have another top trainee in our ranks with Tobias Rottenfusser."
His excellent performance at the exam provided Tobias with a full schedule and some appearances in the limelight: In addition to an award ceremony and participation in the annual reception of the IHK Lahn-Dill, the “National Best Award in IHK professions” in Berlin took place at the end of 2019.
"The decision for the vocational training was exactly the right one. Here I was challenged and encouraged according to my inclinations and interests. It is of course great that this is also reflected in the examination result and makes me proud."
